This year has been quite the rollercoaster for the Wales family, but they’re ready to kick back and unwind in the sunny Isles of Scilly, nestled within the Duchy of Cornwall.
Prince William, the proud owner of this picturesque duchy, has already picked out their favorite escape: Tamarisk House.
This charming four-bedroom retreat is where the couple often seeks refuge from the hustle and bustle of public life.
Even with their travel plans on the horizon, the couple will stick to tradition by celebrating Christmas at Anmer Hall.
They’ll be joined by Kate’s parents and other royal family members for the festive occasion.
However, whispers from insiders suggest that William has something special up his sleeve for Kate—a romantic getaway to the serene Isles of Scilly.
A source close to the couple revealed that this trip is all about relaxation and quality time together, away from prying eyes.
Their chosen destination on St. Mary’s, the largest island in the archipelago, promises a perfect backdrop for a secluded holiday.
As for when this getaway will happen, it remains uncertain.
There’s speculation it could either take place before Christmas or be pushed to January, much like previous years have seen.
Meanwhile, Princess Kate is slowly easing back into her royal duties after recovering from an illness.
She’s currently focusing on attending only the most significant public events.
On the flip side, William has been busy fulfilling his royal responsibilities, recently making an appearance at the Picton Barracks.
There, he joined in on a Christmas celebration specifically organized for military children.
During his visit, the Prince of Wales mingled with soldiers from the Mercian Regiment and their families.
He was pleasantly surprised to receive a Santa hat, a festive card, and some symbolic gifts intended for their three children: George, Charlotte, and Louis.
When asked if he felt prepared for Christmas, William chuckled, “Am I ready?
No, absolutely not.”
The Prince also had the chance to meet the commanding officer of the 1st Battalion and was introduced to Derby, the regiment’s beloved mascot ram.
This quirky tradition, which dates back to 1858, holds a special place in the regiment’s heart.
William couldn’t help but compliment the care Derby receives, saying, “He looks absolutely magnificent.
Very smart.”
A memorable moment during the visit came when ten-year-old Carson Highway presented William with a drawing of his face.
