Prince Harry’s ongoing public criticisms of the royal family have resulted in him potentially losing his inheritance, according to Jeremy Vine.
The Duke of Sussex’s decision to openly discuss his grievances with the royal family has strained his relationship with them, especially since stepping down as a working royal alongside Meghan Markle two and a half years ago.
Vine expressed his frustration, labeling Harry’s behavior as unforgivable, particularly in the eyes of his brother, Prince William.
Vine, the host of Jeremy Vine on Five, condemned Harry’s actions, stating, “I think what Harry’s done is unforgivable.
You’re transmitting all this private stuff about your own family.
Unforgivable for his brother.”
The Duke of Sussex has been vocal about feeling trapped within the royal institution, suggesting that both Prince Charles and Prince William also feel similarly constrained but unable to break free from their roles.
During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Prince Harry revealed, “I was trapped, but I didn’t know I was trapped.
My father and my brother, they are trapped.
They don’t get to leave.
And I have huge compassion for that.”
Despite these revelations, Harry recently returned to the UK alongside Meghan Markle for various events in Manchester and London.
However, reports indicate that he has no plans to meet with either Prince Charles or Prince William during his visit.
Show business expert Michelle Eagleton noted the couple’s arrival in the UK, stating, “They landed in the UK on Saturday, so they have had a day to go and see them.
There has been no news that they have seen William and Kate and, as you said, they are not expected to see Charles either.”
Meanwhile, on Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast, Today show host Alison Langdon made an unexpected appearance, where the Duchess of Sussex vented her frustrations about media coverage surrounding her marriage to Prince Harry.
Markle criticized Langdon’s previous comments, highlighting them as examples of sexism in the media’s portrayal of her relationship with Harry.
Langdon, however, vehemently denied ever suggesting that Meghan was fortunate to have married into the royal family.
The journalist expressed her exasperation, emphasizing, “What part of that was saying, Harry, chose you, oh, my gosh.”
Langdon’s co-host Karl Stefanovic also expressed his dismay at the podcast episode, indicating his frustration with the ongoing scrutiny Meghan faces in the media.
Langdon’s criticism of the Sussexes is not new, as she previously called out Meghan for comparing herself to Nelson Mandela in a recent interview.
Referring to Meghan’s claim that South Africans celebrated her marriage to Harry akin to Mandela’s release from prison, Langdon described the comparison as tone-deaf.
Despite the ongoing controversies, Langdon acknowledged that the couple is now living a quieter life as they desired.
Meghan, in her podcast with actress Mindy Kaling, reflected on the reactions she received when she first started dating Prince Harry, with many people expressing surprise that he had chosen her.
