Prince Louis’ Hilarious Nutrition Advice to England Football Team Delights Players
Prince Louis, the six-year-old son of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, brought a touch of humor to the England men’s football team as they prepared for Euro 2024.
During a visit to St George’s Park in Burton-on-Trent this morning, Prince Louis suggested to the players that they should eat twice as much as usual, much to the amusement of the team and his father, Prince William, who is the president of the Football Association (FA).
Prince William shared the lighthearted moment with the players, recounting how he sought advice from his children during the school run earlier that day.
He humorously mentioned asking his kids what message he should convey to the sportsmen, with Prince Louis’ suggestion of doubling their food intake standing out.
The prince jokingly envisioned the players running around with full stomachs and struggling on the pitch, cautioning them to take the young royal’s advice with a grain of salt, especially in consideration of the physio team.
England striker Harry Kane responded to Prince Louis’ amusing recommendation with a chuckle, acknowledging the jest while also hinting at the nutritionist’s likely disapproval of the idea.
Despite the playful nature of the advice, Kane expressed gratitude for Prince William’s presence and support, noting the motivation it provides to the team ahead of major tournaments.
Upon arriving at the training facility, Prince William was warmly welcomed by Mark Bullingham, the chief executive of the FA, before engaging in discussions with England manager Gareth Southgate and technical director John McDermott.
The visit, kept as a surprise for the players, saw Prince William interacting with the squad, who were shown a video unveiling the team lineup before receiving words of encouragement from the prince.
Addressing the players, Prince William commended each member of the squad for their performances throughout the season, emphasizing his personal investment in following their progress on the field.
