Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, has once again expressed his disapproval of his son-in-law, Prince Harry, labeling him as a “big girl’s blouse” for his choice to step back from his royal duties in the UK.
In a recent interview with The Sun from his residence in Rosario, Mexico, the 77-year-old criticized Harry for abandoning his official responsibilities, stating that it was unreasonable for him to walk away from his duties towards his grandmother, the royal family, and the British public.
Markle disparagingly referred to Harry as a “candy ass,” asserting that he would be willing to confront him despite his age, confident that Harry would retreat as he always does.
Harry’s desire to engage with ordinary individuals and earn a living was met with skepticism after he suggested that people should quit their jobs if they were dissatisfied.
Royal columnist John Smith highlighted this in her recent opinion piece for The Guardian, questioning Harry’s ability to transition to working with non-royal individuals.
Smith humorously remarked on the unique circumstances surrounding Harry’s upbringing within the royal family, where the birth of a child is met with exclamations of “it’s a princess.”
Additionally, she pondered whether Harry’s ambition to pursue paid work extended to minimum wage roles, hinting at potential financial challenges he might face, especially in costly London.
Markle did not limit his criticisms to Harry alone but also directed negative comments towards his daughter, Meghan Markle, accusing her of embellishing her upbringing for political purposes.
Refuting Meghan’s claims of financial hardship during her childhood, Markle dismissed her statements regarding struggling to afford meals, particularly citing her mention of dining at budget-friendly establishments like Sizzler.
According to Markle, their family never faced financial difficulties, enjoying meals at upscale restaurants and occasionally opting for the convenience of affordable dining options like Sizzler.
He expressed disappointment in the person Meghan has become, emphasizing that despite his enduring love for her, he disapproves of her current persona.
The ongoing legal battle between Meghan and the Mail on Sunday resurfaced as the Court of Appeal upheld the ruling that the publication had infringed upon Meghan’s privacy by printing a personal letter she had written to her father in 2018.
Thomas Markle expressed frustration over being unable to present his side of the story following the court’s decision, lamenting the lack of opportunity for a fair trial.
Disillusioned by the outcome, Markle contemplated sharing the undisclosed portions of Meghan’s letter through a YouTube video, expressing his determination to eventually reveal its contents.
Despite his conflicting emotions towards his daughter’s actions, Markle reiterated his enduring love for Meghan while lamenting the perceived changes in her character.
