During a conversation with co-host Sarah Thompson, the Duchess, also known as Fergie, couldn’t contain her laughter as she introduced her reconstructed breasts as her “new boyfriend” named Derek.
She explained that the name brought her joy as it symbolized a constant companion providing protection.
When questioned about the choice of the name Derek, Fergie humorously responded, “I don’t know, it made me laugh because now I have a friend with me all the time who protects with his shield of armour.”
Divulging further details, Sarah Ferguson mentioned that her right breast was affectionately called Derek, while the other side, referred to as Eric, was experiencing some adjustment issues.
However, she reassured listeners that Eric would soon adapt and find his balance alongside Derek.
Expressing her gratitude towards the medical team responsible for her care, Fergie acknowledged the exceptional work of the surgeons, doctors, and nurses involved in her treatment.
