The Prince of Wales and the King of Denmark shared a friendly handshake following an intense 1-1 draw between their respective national teams in Germany.
Prince William, also known as the president of the FA, exhibited great enthusiasm during the Euros match.
He was visibly excited, even jumping out of his seat to cheer when England’s Harry Kane scored the opening goal within 18 minutes.
However, as the game progressed, Prince William, like many fans across the nation, experienced a rollercoaster of emotions.
England’s performance was far from convincing, leading to a disappointing equalizer by Danish midfielder Morten Schulmann.
Despite the setback, Prince William displayed good sportsmanship by exchanging pleasantries with Denmark’s King, Frederik X, at the final whistle, as both teams remained in contention to progress in the tournament.
The interaction between the two royals seemed lighthearted, with King Frederik X playfully celebrating in front of Prince William after the match.
The long-time football enthusiast, Prince William, was captured sharing laughs with King Frederik in the stands, engaging in animated conversations throughout the game as they sat side by side in the same row.
A photo circulating on social media showed Prince William, King Frederik, and Princess Josephine of Denmark seated together at the Frankfurt Arena, accompanied by the caption “May the best team win.”
Prince William was dressed smartly in a suit and striped tie, while King Frederik opted for a more casual look with an open-collar white shirt and blazer.
Despite the absence of the Princess of Wales on this occasion, Prince William made the trip to Frankfurt in the hopes of celebrating an early birthday present ahead of turning 42.
However, the English team, known as the Three Lions, failed to deliver a victorious performance in their second Euros encounter.
