Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was spotted driving around Windsor with her three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The family, which also includes Prince William, has recently relocated to their new residence, Adelaide Cottage, from Kensington Palace.
This move was partly influenced by the children’s transition to their new private school, Lambrook, located near Ascot in Berkshire, following their departure from St Thomas school in Battersea.
The decision to move to Adelaide Cottage, which is closer to Windsor Castle where Queen Elizabeth is recuperating from recent mobility issues, was reportedly made over the weekend.
A Royal source revealed to the Daily Mail that the children are set to commence at their new school next week.
The renovation of the new estate is described as “no frills” by Royal standards, emphasizing the parents’ desire to provide a more normal upbringing for their children.
The source highlighted that the move was driven by the need to offer Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis a sense of freedom that may not have been possible while residing in the bustling environment of central London.
While Kensington Palace will remain the official residence for the couple and their office staff, the family also spends time at their country mansion, Anmer Hall, a ten-bedroom estate located in Norfolk.
In other royal news, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made a surprise visit to the UK on Saturday morning, marking their first return since the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Notably, the couple did not bring their children, Archie and Lilibet, on this trip.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared with Hello!
Magazine that Prince Harry and Meghan are excited to engage with various charities that hold significance for them in early September.
