The Royal Family has been blessed with new titles and honors as the New Year unfolds, as per our sources.
Kate Middleton, known as the Princess of Wales, has been bestowed with a fresh title by King Charles III, a title previously held by her husband, Prince William.
The Royal Family Channel welcomes you to this exciting update.
In a recent announcement, Charles appointed his daughter-in-law as the new Honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards, a significant honor considering Kate’s longstanding support for the regiment since her marriage to William in 2011.
Each St. Patrick’s Day, Kate, adorned in ceremonial green attire, pays tribute to the Irish Guards, often accompanied by the beloved Irish wolfhound mascot, known as Seamus, with his official name being Turlock Moor.
The celebrations typically involve a customary toast with Guinness.
The title was originally granted to Prince William by Queen Elizabeth in 2011, just before his wedding to Kate.
It is speculated that the couple shared a light-hearted moment over this transition.
However, Kate isn’t the only one with a new designation.
Following Queen Elizabeth’s passing in September 2022, Charles declared his son as the new Colonel of the Welsh Guards, a fitting role for the Prince of Wales.
Additionally, Charles honored his wife, Camilla, as the Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, a prestigious title previously held by Prince Andrew.
Amidst these royal updates, Buckingham Palace will witness its first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth.
While the absence of their beloved matriarch will be deeply felt, the Royal Family plans to uphold their timeless Christmas traditions, which were somewhat subdued in the past two years due to the pandemic.
According to reports from People, the family will gather at Sandringham, exchange gifts on Christmas Eve, and attend church together on Christmas morning.
Expected attendees include Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, and their children George, Charlotte, and Louis, along with other extended family members.
Notably, Prince Harry, Meghan, and their children are not anticipated to partake in the Royal Christmas festivities.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that the King’s birthday celebration, known as Trooping the Colour, is scheduled for June 17, 2023, six weeks post his coronation on May 6.
Despite the King’s birthday falling in November, the summer celebration aligns with the tradition followed by his late mother.
The event will feature a grand display involving over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, 400 musicians, and a flypast by Royal Air Force and Red Arrows aircraft, all broadcasted live for global viewership.
The Royal Family continues to evolve with new titles and traditions, marking a chapter of change and continuity amidst the royal legacy.
