In a delightful tale from the world of royalty, it seems that young Prince Louis had a moment of envy when his sister, Princess Charlotte, received a unique present during a visit to the Strictly Come Dancing set.
This charming anecdote was shared by Shirley Ballas, the show’s chief judge, who recounted the event to The Sun.
The story centers around a covert visit by Princess Kate and her children last December, where excitement and a touch of sibling rivalry unfolded.
According to Ballas, both royal children were well-behaved and full of energy during their time at the studio.
As they took turns in the iconic judges’ chairs, Ballas revealed that she gifted Princess Charlotte a lovely little crown.
However, it was clear that Prince Louis had his sights set on something else entirely.
While he was given a box of sweets, his eyes were fixed on his sister’s sparkling crown.
“I thought it would be a lovely idea to give the little girl a crown,” Ballas explained.
“And I got him a nice package of sweets.” But Louis, not to be outdone, pointed at the crown and exclaimed, “I want one of those!” This prompted Ballas to make a special trip to find him a small crown of his own.
It’s heartwarming to hear how well-mannered the kids were, enjoying their time together in such a fun environment.
Ballas expressed her joy at having the royal family visit the show, even opting to keep some of the photos private, feeling that it was a more personal experience for them.
“I was merely relieved that she could visit and enjoy an amazing day,” she noted.
Clearly, the royal family is no stranger to the glitz and glamour of the BBC ballroom hit.
During their visit, Kate and her children also mingled with the show’s talented professional dancers, including Diane Buswell and Medea Bychkova.
They received a warm welcome and were treated to a tour of the costuming department, which was undoubtedly a highlight for the kids.
It’s evident that the royal family shares a love for the arts and entertainment.
