Royal broadcaster Dyles Brandreth has disclosed a startling revelation regarding Meghan Markle‘s refusal of assistance from the Queen in fulfilling her Royal duties.
During an interview on ITV’s Lorraine, Brandreth shared that the Duchess of Sussex declined the offer to have Sophie, Countess of Wessex, aid her, opting instead for the support of Prince Harry.
According to Brandreth, Meghan expressed, “No, I don’t think I need that.
I’ve got Harry.”
In the recent Netflix documentary series, “Harry and Meghan,” the former actress opened up about her struggles in adapting to Royal life.
Meghan candidly admitted, “I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”
This revelation was made in the premier episode of the documentary series, which premiered on Thursday, 8 December.
Furthermore, Meghan shared an amusing anecdote about her initial encounters with Prince Harry and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
She humorously recalled mistaking Harry’s inquiry about her curtsy abilities as a joke before realizing he was serious.
Markle described performing an exaggerated curtsy for the Queen as an act of jest, a moment that Brandreth characterized as both mocking and embarrassing.
During a subsequent appearance on Lorraine, Brandreth delved into the Queen’s fondness for Prince Harry and her warm reception of Meghan into the Royal family.
Brandreth emphasized the Queen’s deep affection for her grandchildren, particularly Harry, owing to his sense of humor.
He asserted that the Queen extended a gracious offer to Meghan, permitting her to continue acting if she desired, and proposed Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as a guide to assist her in acclimating to Royal life.
As the Netflix series “Harry and Meghan” unfolds, viewers are granted a glimpse into the couple’s experiences within the Royal realm.
The forthcoming episodes, set to be released on Thursday, 15 December, promise to shed further light on the challenges and triumphs faced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
