Rob Lowe, a resident of Montecito, California, recently shared his thoughts on the presence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in his neighborhood.
The 57-year-old actor revealed during an interview on E!
News talk show Daily Pop that the royal couple had brought a significant amount of attention to the typically quiet town.
Despite Markle and Harry maintaining a low profile, their presence has undeniably heightened interest in the area.
Living in Montecito for 26 years, Lowe expressed how the arrival of the Royals had forever changed the neighborhood’s dynamics.
He humorously remarked, “Let me tell you something, once the Royals move into your neighborhood, the neighborhood is never going to be the same again.”
Lowe noted that the couple resided just over the fence from his first home in the region.
When asked about his feelings towards the changes resulting from high-profile residents moving in, Lowe acknowledged the positive impact on property values but also mentioned the downside of longer lines at local establishments like Starbucks.
He reminisced about Oprah Winfrey‘s influence on the area, stating that her residency had marked a resurgence in Montecito before the arrival of the Royals.
Contrary to rumors circulating about the location of Oprah’s interview with Meghan and Harry, Lowe clarified that it was not filmed at his house as many had speculated.
He debunked the misconception by revealing that the interview took place at a friend’s house, dismissing the mystery surrounding the filming location as simply being at Oprah’s residence.
In a separate development, commentator Angela Levin made controversial claims about Meghan Markle’s influence on Prince Harry’s demeanor.
Levin accused Markle of bringing out Harry’s “evil side,” asserting that her presence had triggered negative behavior in the Duke.
