Princess Catherine, also known as the Princess of Wales, has finally reunited with her three children after being away from them for two weeks due to a hospital stay.
The royal, who is reported to be in good health by Kensington Palace, left the London Clinic in Marylebone yesterday morning following her surgery on January 16.
King Charles, who was also hospitalized for an enlarged prostate, was discharged on the same day as the Princess, with both royals leaving the Central London Hospital within hours of each other.
Following her discharge, Princess Catherine is expected to take some time off from public appearances, likely until after Easter.
It was revealed that her children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – were not able to visit her in the hospital after her abdominal surgery.
Due to their school schedules, they likely saw their mother for the first time upon returning home from school later in the afternoon.
The Princess’s absence from her children is believed to be the longest period she has been away from them.
Both Prince William and Princess Catherine have always prioritized their children, ensuring that at least one of them is present for the school run whenever possible.
Their commitment to family has even influenced the length of their foreign tours, with the exception of their upcoming trip to the Caribbean in 2022.
Prince William, who had cleared his schedule to support his wife during her hospitalization, was present when Princess Catherine was discharged and likely drove her back home.
In a statement, a spokesperson from Kensington Palace expressed gratitude to the medical team at the London Clinic for their care and support during the Princess’s recovery.
The royal family continues to appreciate the well wishes they have received from the public.
Upon her return home, Princess Catherine will focus on recuperating, and her future official duties will depend on medical advice.
It is anticipated that she may not resume public engagements until after Easter, leading to the cancellation of planned events, including two foreign trips.
However, there is hope that these engagements can be rescheduled at a later date.
As the Princess settles back into home life, Prince William plans to resume his public engagements, with assistance from their nanny and the Middleton family.
Kensington Palace has stated that they will not provide further updates on the Princess’s health, respecting her desire for personal medical information to remain private.
The royal couple looks forward to a period of rest and recovery, surrounded by their loved ones.
