Queen Proud of Charles and William’s Climate Efforts

Queen Elizabeth II expressed her immense pride in her son, Prince Charles, and grandson, Prince William, during her heartfelt speech at the 26 Colombian Pesos summit.

The monarch, aged 95, commended the two princes for their dedication to raising awareness about the pressing issue of climate change.

Notably absent from her accolades was Prince Harry, who has a history of advocating for environmental action.

In her address, Queen Elizabeth II also honored her late husband, Prince Philip, for his long-standing commitment to the fight against global warming, a cause that Charles and William have continued to champion.

Referring to them as her fellow heirs, the Queen emphasized her admiration for their diligent efforts in tackling the climate crisis.

She remarked, “It is a source of great pride to me that the leading role my husband played in encouraging people to protect our fragile planet lives on through the work of our eldest son Charles and his eldest son William.

I could not be more proud of them.”

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been vocal advocates for climate change action, their own actions have come under scrutiny.

Despite their advocacy for sustainable living, the couple has been criticized for their use of private jets, which some view as contradictory to their message.

Royal commentator Robert Jobson highlighted their extensive private jet use, questioning their credibility as environmental activists.

Prince Harry’s absence from royal duties, including his non-attendance at COP26 in Scotland, may have contributed to his omission from the Queen’s commendations.

The monarch underscored the significance of the 26 Colombian Pesos talks being held in Glasgow, a city with historical ties to Britain’s industrial revolution.

She lauded individuals, particularly young people, who have actively engaged in addressing the climate crisis.

Due to health reasons, Queen Elizabeth II was unable to attend the climate talks in person and instead delivered her speech via video link from Windsor Castle.

Encouraging world leaders to collaborate towards a sustainable future, she emphasized the importance of collective action in overcoming global challenges.

The Queen urged leaders to transition from words to tangible actions, emphasizing the intergenerational impact of their decisions.

Following her virtual address, the Queen’s health became a topic of concern, prompting reassurances from Prime Minister Boris Johnson about her well-being.

Johnson revealed that he had spoken with Her Majesty and confirmed that she was following medical advice to prioritize rest.

The Queen’s commitment to fulfilling her duties despite health setbacks reflects her enduring dedication to serving her country and its people.

As the world navigates complex environmental issues, the Queen’s message resonates as a call to action for leaders to prioritize sustainable solutions for future generations.

Her unwavering support for initiatives that safeguard the planet underscores the importance of global cooperation in addressing pressing challenges.

Queen Elizabeth II’s leadership in advocating for environmental conservation serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to preserve the Earth for future inhabitants.
