Princess Kate, also known as the Princess of Wales, has recently shared a delightful moniker she uses for her youngest son, Prince Louis, who is set to celebrate his sixth birthday this spring.
The endearing nickname, “Lewbug,” perfectly reflects the Wales family’s love for the great outdoors.
While the Prince and Princess of Wales typically maintain a level of privacy around their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – they occasionally offer glimpses into their family life.
During a royal engagement on May 8, marking the conclusion of the country’s festivities for King Charles I’s coronation, Princess Kate affectionately referred to Prince Louis as “Lewbug.”
The devoted mother was overheard praising her five-year-old son, saying, “Well done!
Lewbug, great job!”
Later in the day, as the scouts arranged a fire for the royal children and volunteers to toast marshmallows, Kate lovingly called her youngest, “Pop that in the fire, Lewbug.”
Prince William, speaking to the scouts about his son’s love for sweets, playfully remarked, “You’ve made his day!”
The Wales family, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, joined Queen Camilla‘s initiative, the Big Help Out, on a bank holiday Monday.
The event aimed to promote volunteerism and community involvement, with the royal family assisting in renovating the 3rd Upton Scouts’ hut in Slough.
At the event, the royal parents and their children rolled up their sleeves to shovel dirt, varnish a door, and plant flowers at the hut’s entrance.
Prince Louis and Prince George even had the opportunity to operate a digger, showcasing their enthusiasm for the hands-on tasks.
This outing marked Prince Louis’ first official royal engagement where he actively participated, following previous events such as the Platinum Jubilee Pageant and the Coronation Ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
Since attending the Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham on December 25, Prince Louis, who attends Lambrook School with his siblings, has not been publicly seen.
However, his joyful presence and the Wales family’s commitment to community service continue to capture the hearts of royal watchers and supporters alike.
