Princess Anne Dazzles at Buckingham Palace with Sentimental Brooch Gift from Queen Elizabeth

At a recent garden party held at Buckingham Palace, showcased a stunning piece of jewelry that carries deep personal significance.

The event, which took place on May 17, was organized by the Not Forgotten Association, a charity dedicated to supporting injured veterans.

With over 2,000 beneficiaries in attendance, the occasion was a heartfelt gathering for those who have served in the military.

Princess Anne, known as the Princess Royal, radiated elegance as she arrived at the garden party alongside her husband, Vice-Admiral Sir Timothy Lawrence.

The annual event has been a tradition since 1921, taking place in the picturesque gardens of Buckingham Palace.

This year, Anne’s attire not only highlighted her royal status but also paid homage to her family legacy.

Dressed in a cream coat dress embellished with intricate brown metallic embroidery resembling delicate feathers, Princess Anne turned heads.

She completed her look with beige heels, white gloves, and a striking hat that added a regal touch.

However, it was her choice of accessories that truly captivated the crowd.

The centerpiece of her ensemble was a breathtaking diamond and gold brooch, known as the Stalactite brooch.

This exquisite piece, valued at approximately £16,000, has been a cherished part of her collection since 1973.

Jewelry expert Maxwell Stone noted that the brooch holds a special place in Anne’s heart, as it was a wedding gift from her late mother, II.

Crafted by renowned jeweler Andrew Grima, the brooch has become a symbol of royal heritage.

Its sentimental value is amplified by the fact that it was given to Princess Anne on her wedding day to Captain Mark Phillips.

For decades, this piece has not only adorned her outfits but also served as a reminder of her mother’s love.

Adding to the elegance of her look, Princess Anne paired the brooch with a set of pearl earrings, also gifted by her parents in the late 1960s.

These earrings, featuring a modern leaf design crafted from diamonds, pearls, and gold, are another treasured item in her jewelry box.

They are estimated to be worth around £3,000, further showcasing the royal family’s penchant for timeless elegance.

As a patron of the Not Forgotten Association, Princess Anne is deeply committed to supporting veterans.
