The Princess of Wales, aged 42, was admitted to the London Clinic in Marylebone on January 16 and is expected to remain there for up to two weeks.
Kensington Palace officially announced on January 17 that Princess Kate had undergone a planned abdominal surgery, which was reported to be successful.
Just like the Princess of Wales, who is set to resume her duties after Easter, the Prince of Wales has also taken a step back from his royal responsibilities.
In light of Princess Kate’s hospitalization, William and Kate are determined to maintain a sense of normalcy for their three children, with the Prince focusing his attention solely on them during this period.
Royal expert Jenny Bond expressed her views, suggesting that William may be feeling a mix of emotions, including stress and bewilderment, given the unexpected turn of events.
Bond also highlighted the potential impact on the couple’s children – Prince George, aged 10, Princess Charlotte, aged 8, and Prince Louis, aged 5 – during this challenging time.

She anticipated that the family would utilize video calls to stay connected and reassure the children about their mother’s well-being.
On January 18, the day after Kate’s hospitalization was made public, Prince William was spotted at the London Clinic, indicating his support for his wife during this challenging period.
With Kate in the hospital, William has taken on the responsibility of managing all school runs by himself, with experts noting his shift in priorities towards prioritizing family over other commitments.
The 41-year-old prince has postponed his upcoming engagements until Kate has fully recovered, emphasizing his dedication to supporting his wife and children during this time of need.
