Prince William Shares Prince Louis’ Passion for Cricket in Heartwarming Moment

In a touching revelation during his first royal engagement after the Easter break, shared that his youngest son, , has a keen interest in cricket.

This heartfelt moment unfolded at Surplus to Supper, a food redistribution charity located in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, where the Prince was actively involved in packing and preparing meals.

The visit marked a significant return to royal duties following the holiday.

As Prince William arrived at the venue, he was greeted warmly by the hosts and volunteers at the facility, which is situated within the Sunbury Cricket Club grounds.

It was here that he revealed his son’s favorite sport, bringing a personal touch to the event.

Prince Louis, who will soon celebrate his sixth birthday on April 23, has shown a budding enthusiasm for cricket, much to the delight of his father.

Last year, photos taken during Prince Louis’ fourth birthday showcased his love for the game.

One memorable image featured the young prince joyfully holding a cricket ball while playing on the beach, dressed in a cozy grey pullover adorned with stars.

Captured by his mother, Kate, Princess of Wales, these snapshots highlighted Louis’ playful spirit as he seemed ready to bowl a cricket ball, barefoot on the sandy shore in Norfolk.

Born on April 23, 2018, Prince Louis is currently fourth in line for the British throne, following his father and older siblings.

Traditionally, Kate shares a new photograph of each child on their birthdays, but it remains uncertain whether this will happen this year due to her recent health challenges.

The Princess of Wales had publicly announced her cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt video message in March, asking for privacy for her family during this difficult time.

Prince William’s return to royal responsibilities coincided with his children’s return to school after the Easter break.

His visit to Surplus to Supper was part of his ongoing commitment to combat food poverty and waste.

The non-profit organization plays a crucial role in the community, preparing around 25,000 meals annually for those in need.

During his visit, William rolled up his sleeves and joined the chefs in the kitchen, demonstrating a hands-on approach to his charitable work.

He also contributed some personal items from his own pantry, including pasta and canned soup, to support the organization’s mission.

Surplus to Supper operates as a volunteer-run initiative, redistributing surplus food from larger organizations to smaller local agencies.

With a network of approximately 200 volunteers, the charity successfully distributes over three tons of surplus food daily, ensuring that those in need receive essential meals throughout the week.

Kensington Palace highlighted that one of Prince William’s key priorities is to protect the environment for future generations, and his engagement at Surplus to Supper aimed to shed light on the organization’s positive impact on both the community and the environment.

This engagement marked William’s first public appearance since March 20, when he took a brief hiatus to spend quality time with Kate and their children over the Easter holiday.
