Prince Harry had been in the UK to attend the Welchild Awards in London on September 7, taking the opportunity to visit Windsor the following day.
While attempting to keep a low profile, Prince Harry’s presence outside the church was noticed by a passerby who shared a photo online.
Royal Editor Victoria Ward noted that the Duke valued the time spent honoring his late grandmother’s memory.
Queen Elizabeth was laid to rest at the King George VI Memorial Church alongside her husband, Prince Philip, and other family members after her passing last year at the age of 96.
On the recent anniversary of her death, two floral tributes, one pink and one blue, were placed near her headstone, confirming the royal connection.
Meanwhile, King Charles and Queen Camilla commemorated the day with a private ceremony at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral, where they were spending the end of their summer break.
