Meghan Markle’s Mother Faces Royal Snub at Coronation

In a twist of royal drama, ‘s mother, Doria Ragland, may soon find herself in the UK alongside her daughter for ‘s coronation.

According to reports from the Daily Express UK, Doria is expected to travel with Meghan and , primarily to help care for their young children during the grand event.

As the Duke and Duchess of Sussex prepare for the coronation on May 6th, the couple faces a dilemma.

Their children, and , are deemed too young to attend the ceremony at Westminster Abbey.

This situation has prompted Meghan to request that the palace arrange an intimate birthday celebration for Archie, inviting Doria to be part of it.

However, Meghan’s ambitions don’t stop there.

She has reportedly asked King Charles to bestow a royal title upon Doria, suggesting she should be called Countess or Lady.

Meghan believes that since Archie and Lilibet hold titles as prince and princess, their grandmother deserves a title as well due to her supportive role in their lives.

But here’s where things take a turn.

Sources indicate that Meghan’s requests were flatly rejected.

The coronation is not a family affair, and there is no obligation for the royal family to include Doria—or anyone else, for that matter.

Furthermore, the royal family will not be extending invitations for Archie’s birthday party; as his parents, Meghan and Harry have the final say on who attends.

While Doria might be present in the UK for the coronation, her role appears limited to that of a babysitter, likely stationed at Frogmore Cottage.

Without an official invitation, any notion of a snub towards Doria seems unfounded.

Despite this setback, Meghan is reportedly undeterred in her quest to secure a title for her mother.

Interestingly, while peerages are typically reserved for British citizens, Meghan is said to be exploring alternative avenues for Doria to acquire a title.

It’s been noted that ‘s parents, Michael and Carole, are anticipated to receive titles of their own, which has seemingly fueled Meghan’s determination.

There are various ways for Doria to obtain a title, albeit unofficially.

Reports suggest that titles can be purchased through organizations like the Memorial Society in the UK, with prices starting around $10,000.

Additionally, other countess and lady titles from different principalities can be acquired for as little as $100.

As for Prince Harry and Meghan, their participation in the royal procession remains off the table.

Insider sources reveal that while King Charles wishes for them to attend the coronation, they cannot expect to be treated like senior royals after stepping down from their royal duties three years ago.

The situation is further complicated by the exclusion of other royals, including , who has faced significant controversy due to his past associations.

Being left out alongside Andrew, who has brought scandal to the royal family, adds another layer of humiliation for those affected.

Moreover, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also reportedly not included in the coronation festivities, which underscores the broader implications of King Charles’s decisions regarding royal attendance.

The upcoming coronation promises to be a moment filled with both splendor and tension, as family dynamics continue to unfold in the spotlight.
