Victoria Beckham has reportedly disclosed in the new Netflix documentary focusing on the Beckham Family that Meghan Markle borrowed four dresses from her without payment, causing tensions and leading to their exclusion from the guest list of the documentary.
Recently, Netflix released the trailer for “The Beckham,” a four-part series shedding light on the family life and career of the legendary footballer David Beckham.
The documentary also delves into the dynamics of the Beckhams’ relationship, their adeptness in social circles, and the challenges posed by individuals who may not have genuine intentions despite appearing as friends.
Notably, the trailer showcases appearances by some of Victoria and David Beckham’s acquaintances such as Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and others.
However, eyebrows were raised at the absence of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who recently inked a deal with Netflix to create documentaries and content.
Initially, the Duchess of Sussex’s name was included in the guest description of the documentary, but due to discrepancies, they were subsequently removed from the official version following the leak of a second trailer on YouTube.
In the documentary, Victoria Beckham is heard referencing an unnamed friend who caused a stir by borrowing dresses without prior notice from various agencies.
Speculation arose that this incident was aimed at Meghan Markle.
An insider revealed that Victoria and Meghan had a positive history, initially sharing a friendly rapport when Meghan and Harry expressed interest in visiting Victoria’s store and sought advice on London and Cotswolds, where they resided as neighbors.
However, their relationship soured when Meghan expressed interest in wearing Victoria’s clothing.
While Victoria was open to offering discreet discounts to friends, providing free dresses went against company policy.
This disagreement led to a confrontation between Harry and David Beckham, as Meghan accused Victoria of leaking stories about them to the media.
Meghan also publicly criticized Victoria’s dresses, claiming they did not suit her despite having worn them on several occasions.
Tensions escalated when the Beckhams discovered that Harry and Meghan were spreading rumors alleging that the couple had falsely accused them of leaking stories to the press.
This revelation further strained their relationship.
The insider disclosed that the former friends engaged in a tense phone call and have now officially severed ties, making reconciliation improbable amid the ongoing feud between the Beckhams and Harry and Meghan, who had previously socialized together.
Although the Beckhams attended Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in 2018, they opted not to invite the couple to their son’s wedding to Nicola Peltz in 2022.
Speculation mounted that Harry and Meghan harbored beliefs that the Beckhams were behind negative media coverage about them.
