**Meghan Markle Slams Royals Over Father’s Controversy**

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has rejected the palace’s advice to visit her father and instead criticized the royals for pressuring her and Prince Harry.

The 40-year-old duchess sent a heartfelt five-page letter to her estranged father, Thomas Markle, in 2018 after reaching a breaking point.

During a meeting with senior members, Meghan was informed that her father wished to speak to her over the phone.

Following discussions with senior family members, she decided to write a letter to her father as advised.

The Court of Appeal heard that Meghan’s letter to her father, published by the Mail on Sunday, was written with the possibility of public consumption in mind.

Lawyers for Publisher Associated Newspapers presented new evidence from Jason Knauf, the Communications Secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, indicating that Meghan suspected her father might disclose the letter to the media.

This comes after Meghan sued ANL for misusing her private information and breaching the Data Protection Act.

ANL’s challenge, which is set to be heard over three days, questions the basis of the judge’s ruling regarding the nature of Meghan’s letter to her father.

Thomas and Samantha, Meghan’s relatives, criticized her public comments during an interview with CBS in March 2021.

Thomas expressed disappointment over Meghan’s alleged distancing from her family, stating that she had the support of her relatives if she had chosen to keep them close despite their mistakes.

In response to the criticism from her family members, Meghan highlighted her losses, including the death of her father and a baby, as well as challenges to her identity.

She also addressed the media attacks she faced, noting the lack of protection she received from the palace.

Meghan accused the palace of spreading falsehoods about her and Prince Harry, particularly referencing a story involving Duchess Kate ahead of her wedding in May 2018.

During the CBS interview, Meghan praised her mother, Doria Ragland, for her unwavering support and dignity amidst the challenges the former actress faced.

She emphasized the importance of standing up against false narratives and unfair treatment.

Meghan’s strained relationship with her father deepened after the birth of her children, Archie in May 2019 and Lily in June 2021, as she did not inform him of her pregnancies.

The ongoing drama between Meghan, Thomas, and Samantha continues to unfold, shedding light on the complexities of family relationships under public scrutiny.

Despite the challenges and disagreements, each party involved shares their perspectives on what led to the current state of estrangement and discord.

As the situation evolves, the dynamics between Meghan and her relatives remain a topic of public interest and debate.
