Meghan Markle and Prince Harry caused a stir earlier this year with their much-talked-about interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The bombshell revelations made headlines and have continued to generate buzz across various media platforms.
Recent tabloids suggested that the Duchess of Sussex was disappointed and hurt as she allegedly expected to win an award for the interview, only to lose out to HBO Max’s Friends: The Reunion.
According to a source cited by New Idea, Meghan Markle had hoped that her return to Hollywood as a Duchess would elevate her status in the industry, possibly surpassing the likes of Jennifer Aniston.
However, with the recent success of the Friends special, the insider claimed that Aniston’s profile still overshadowed that of the former Suits actress, leaving Meghan feeling even more frustrated over Aniston’s recognition.
To add insult to injury, it was reported that Jennifer Aniston has been turning down invitations from Meghan Markle, including declining offers to dine at the couple’s new home in Montecito.
While these allegations have piqued the interest of many, there is no concrete evidence provided to substantiate these claims, leaving them shrouded in speculation.
Meanwhile, complaints to Ofcom regarding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey have surged to 6,200 since its broadcast last month.
The figures released by the broadcasting regulator revealed that the interview, which aired on ITV on March 8, has garnered a total of 6,203 complaints, making it the most complained-about program this month, with an additional 257 complaints received as of April 6.
During the interview, Meghan Markle made shocking revelations, accusing an unnamed member of the royal family of racism and disclosing her struggles with suicidal thoughts, claiming she was denied support when she sought help.
The couple also disclosed that concerns were raised about their son Archie‘s skin color, with Meghan hinting that the family member in question was apprehensive about Archie being too brown, a concern later clarified not to involve the Queen or Prince Philip.
Prince Harry expressed his disappointment with his father, Prince Charles, feeling abandoned financially by the family before their decision to step back from royal duties.
Following the broadcast, a statement on behalf of the Queen acknowledged the challenges faced by Harry and Meghan, particularly regarding issues of race.
While acknowledging varying recollections, the family pledged to address these matters privately, affirming that Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always hold a special place in their hearts.
