The incident unfolded during the night when two intruders infiltrated the grounds, stealing a pickup truck and a quad bike from a barn on the estate, causing damage to fences along the way.
The break-in occurred while Prince William, Princess Catherine, and their children were resting at Adelaide Cottage, unaware of the unfolding drama just outside their doors.
