Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is set to make an appearance on The Graham Norton Show this Friday, showcasing his latest book, Memorable Meals Made Easy.
Joining him will be renowned personalities such as Stanley Tucci, discussing his book My Life Through Food, and Dame Joan Collins, reflecting on her illustrious life and career in a new BBC special.
Jamie Oliver, known for his advocacy of healthy eating and his chain of restaurants, once attempted to land a major catering gig at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s wedding.
In 2018, Jamie disclosed that he had reached out to the royal couple offering his catering services, but unfortunately, his proposal went unanswered.
During an appearance on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch in December 2018, Jamie shared that he had written to Harry and Meghan, proposing to curate a menu featuring the best British and American chefs for their grand nuptials at Windsor Castle.
Expressing his disappointment, Jamie mentioned that he was willing to undertake the task without charge, emphasizing his eagerness for such an opportunity.
Despite Jamie’s enthusiasm, the royal wedding guests were treated to a menu of seasonal British dishes prepared by a team of 30 staff led by the Queen’s chef, Mark Flanagan.
The menu featured fresh ingredients from the Queen’s estates, aligning with the couple’s preference for local, seasonal produce.
Mr. Flanagan remained secretive about the specific dishes served on the day but highlighted the use of fresh British vegetables in line with the season.
Jamie Oliver has recently shared insights into his weight loss journey, attributing his success to dietary changes and a healthier lifestyle.
By increasing his vegetable intake, reducing meat consumption, prioritizing sleep, and engaging in more physical activity, the celebrity chef managed to shed two stone.
Additionally, Jamie cut back on alcohol consumption, opting to drink only on weekends as part of his new routine.
The royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took place on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Palace.
The extravagant ceremony brought together the couple’s family and friends, including Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, and members of the royal family.
On the morning of the wedding, Prince Harry was bestowed with the titles Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton, and Baron Kilkeel, while Meghan became Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.
Notably, the wedding incorporated public participation, with thousands of well-wishers invited to witness the event from within the castle grounds.
The night before the ceremony, Prince Harry and Prince William greeted supporters in Windsor, fostering a sense of community engagement.
The wedding reception, hosted by the Queen at St George’s Hall, featured the traditional biclère pataque, symbolizing the union of the royal couple amidst a backdrop of regal splendor.
