Two years after the groundbreaking Mexit announcement, a swift poll conducted over 24 hours from February 5th to February 6th raised a poignant question: Is it time for the British public to forgive Prince Harry?
Out of a total of 34,570 responses gathered, only a mere 6%, amounting to 1,932 individuals, expressed willingness to forgive him.
A staggering 93%, representing 32,287 respondents, stood firm in their decision not to forgive the Duke of Sussex, while just 1%, comprising 361 individuals, remained unsure about their stance.
Among the voices heard, one reader, identified as Sweet Cariad, vehemently stated, “Harry is a total disgrace and should not be allowed back into the country.”
Adding to the discourse, George Uchtu remarked, “They made their bed, so they must lay on it, period.
They degraded our country and our constitution by attacking our monarchy with unfounded and commercially driven statements.”
Yorkshire Last Two echoed the sentiment, stating, “Absolutely not.
If they issue a genuine public apology to the royal family and British public, come clean about all the lies, abandon their financial pursuits, and commit to a life of privacy, perhaps forgiveness could be considered in the future.”
Contrarily, Skies opined, “No, Henry isn’t as significant as he perceives.
He has shown disrespect towards the UK and its people.
It would be best for him to remain in the US and live the ordinary life he claimed to desire.”
Further contributing to the prevailing sentiment, GDB shared, “I don’t believe the country had an issue with them leaving; rather, it was the manner in which it was executed and their subsequent behavior.”
