In a recent visit to Brookhill College of Performing Arts in Kent, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, made headlines for an unexpected snub directed at Prince Harry.
The royal engagement was meant to celebrate the school’s commitment to integrating food production, agriculture, and environmental awareness into its curriculum.
However, it was a seemingly innocent classroom demonstration that sparked intrigue and conversation.
During her visit, the Duchess launched the school’s inaugural leaf gold demonstration, a nod to its innovative educational programs.
These initiatives include a variety of subjects, from animal management to horticulture, designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge.
It was a day filled with excitement, as Sophie met students who are benefiting from this diverse approach to learning.
But things took a turn when the Duchess began to explain the royal line of succession using a whiteboard.
As she sketched out the family tree, she notably omitted Prince Harry, the youngest son of King Charles III.
With each stroke of her black marker, the absence of Harry became glaringly obvious, raising eyebrows among those present.
Sophie started her drawing with Queen Elizabeth II at the top, illustrating the lineage with small faces representing key royals like King Charles III, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.
Yet, as she moved on to depict the current line of succession, Harry was nowhere to be found.
Instead, she included Prince William, now the heir apparent, but left out his younger brother entirely.
Interestingly, other royal grandchildren, such as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, were also absent from the diagram.
