Are Meghan Markle and Prince Harry the Neighbors from Hell in Montecito?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who relocated to Montecito in California following their exit from royal duties, are reportedly facing a chilly reception from some of their wealthy neighbors in Los Angeles.

Lady Colin Campbell, a royal commentator known as Lady C, has revealed that certain billionaire residents in L.A. are not keen on associating with the couple.

The Sussexes made the move to the U.S. after stepping back from their royal roles last year, settling in Montecito, a lavish community along the Californian coast popular among celebrities.

Lady C shared insights on her YouTube channel, recounting conversations she had with prominent individuals in London who also have ties to Montecito.

According to her, there seems to be a general aversion towards Meghan among the residents, with one source claiming, “Everybody in Montecito hates them, actually her, they don’t care that much about him, he’s negligible.”

The sentiment seems to extend to the billionaires in the area, as Lady C mentioned, “And the billionaires don’t want to touch them, nobody wants to touch them.”

A tabloid has gone as far as labeling the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as the worst neighbors in the gated community they now call home.

The publication suggests that the presence of Harry and Meghan has disrupted the tranquility that residents value, attributing the chaos to paparazzi, helicopters, and crowds of tourists and fans drawn to the area.

Reports indicate that the couple has been distant towards their neighbors, maintaining a reserved demeanor and showing little interest in engaging with those around them.

While the tabloid’s cover story sensationalizes the couple’s alleged behavior, locals believe that Harry and Meghan may request stores to close temporarily to facilitate private shopping experiences.

Despite sharing Montecito with high-profile figures like Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ellen DeGeneres, other residents have reportedly chosen to leave the neighborhood since the Sussexes’ arrival.

Among them is billionaire Peter Sperling, who sold two properties within months of the royals moving in.

Peter Sperling recently parted ways with his Montecito mansion, selling it for a substantial sum after incurring a loss on the sale.

His decision to sell follows a trend observed in the neighborhood, with actor Rob Lowe also selling his estate shortly after the royal couple’s arrival.

The influx of high-profile residents like Harry and Meghan has significantly impacted property values in Montecito, prompting some residents to capitalize on the increased demand by selling their homes at inflated prices.

As the dynamics of Montecito continue to evolve with the presence of notable figures like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the neighborhood undergoes a transformation that not all residents may embrace.

The couple’s interactions with their neighbors and the attention they attract have stirred mixed reactions, leading some to seek new horizons outside the once serene community.

The repercussions of their residency extend beyond mere celebrity sightings, shaping the social fabric of Montecito in unforeseen ways.
