Amid swirling rumors, it has been confirmed by Page Six that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be making an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon next week.
Speculation arose regarding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex potentially participating in their first late-night interview to promote their new Netflix docuseries, “Harry and Meghan.”
The buzz started when the official Twitter account of Jimmy Fallon’s NBC show hinted at a special guest for next Thursday’s episode.
Despite the use of crown and necktie emojis, it turns out the cryptic tweet was actually referring to the cast of “Young Royals” and not Harry and Meghan, who stepped back as senior royals in 2020 in pursuit of a more private life.
Previously, Meghan Markle had been scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show in September during a visit to New York City with Prince Harry for the UN General Assembly.
However, her plans were postponed following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
A source revealed to Page Six that Meghan was set to be a guest on Fallon’s show, stating, “I don’t even know what she was going to talk about, but that’s obviously canceled now.”
Although the royal couple will not grace the late-night show, fans can still delve into their private lives through the first three episodes of their six-part docuseries, which began streaming on Thursday.
The documentary series delves into shocking allegations of bribery, exploitation, and a manufactured reality show involving the scandal-plagued royals.
Viewers can also expect insights into Harry’s proposal to Meghan and their family life in California.
