Mila Sneddon, a courageous young girl from Falkirk, Scotland, who captured the heart of the Princess of Wales during her own battle with cancer, has reached out to Princess Catherine with an inspiring message.
Deeply moved by the Princess’s recent diagnosis, Mila has sent a rallying cry to Princess Catherine, encouraging her to be brave just as she was during her own struggles.
The touching bond between Mila and Princess Catherine began when a photo of Mila in isolation while undergoing leukemia treatment went viral during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Princess of Wales was touched by the image of the young girl looking out of a window at her father, leading to two heartwarming meetings between the two in 2021.
After being given the all-clear from leukemia two years ago, Mila received a handwritten note from the Princess of Wales, solidifying their special connection.
Their first meeting took place at Hollerood House in Edinburgh, where Princess Catherine fulfilled her promise to wear Mila’s favorite color, pink.
They later reunited at Westminster Abbey for a Christmas concert, where Mila had the honor of reading a prayer.
In a recent interview with the Sunday Mail, Mila expressed her unwavering support for her dear friend Kate, stating, “You will be brave because I was, and you will fight it like I did.”
The strong bond between the Princess and Mila blossomed when a poignant photograph, titled “Shielding Mila,” captured the young girl kissing her father through a window while undergoing intensive chemotherapy.
The photograph, taken by Mila’s mother Linda, was featured in Kate’s book “Hold Still,” a poignant portrayal of the nation during the challenging year of 2020.
Due to her father’s essential work during the lockdown, Mila had to be separated from him to minimize the risk of Covid-19 transmission in their home.
Following the inclusion of “Shielding Mila” in the Hold Still exhibition and book, Princess Catherine and Mila had a heartwarming phone conversation.
During the call, Mila greeted the Princess with impeccable manners, to which Kate responded with admiration for her politeness.
Excitedly, Mila shared her love for walking her dog, knowledge of the royal children’s names, and her fondness for the color pink.
Moved by Mila’s words, Princess Catherine promised to wear a pink dress when they met in person.
