Royal Expert Claims Meghan Markle Disappointed by Prince Harry’s Financial Situation

A recent revelation has once again put the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and , in the spotlight.

The couple, who have been making headlines since their move to the United States, faced controversy with the release of Harry’s memoir, Spare.

According to royal expert Tom Bower, author of the book Revenge, Meghan Harry and the War Between the Windsors in 2022, Meghan was reportedly disappointed upon discovering Prince Harry’s limited financial resources when they first met.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Bower described Meghan as money-obsessed and shared that she had high expectations regarding Prince Harry’s wealth.

He stated that Meghan was surprised and let down to learn that Prince Harry did not possess the substantial fortune she had envisioned.

Bower mentioned that Meghan now finds herself having to compensate for this financial disparity, as the couple struggled to maintain their lifestyle as working members of the royal family.

Forbes estimated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s net worth to be $10 million in 2021, which includes Harry’s inheritance from and their equity in their Montecito, California mansion.

However, after stepping back from their royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the U.S., they were no longer financially supported by the British Crown’s estimated $34 billion.

To sustain their lavish lifestyle, Harry and Meghan established Archwell Productions, securing a lucrative multi-year production deal with Netflix valued between $100 million and $150 million.

Harry received a substantial $20 million advance for his book, Spare, as reported by Page Six.

Bower also raised concerns that Harry and Meghan’s presence at III’s coronation in May 2023 could potentially overshadow the event.

Despite the fallout from Harry’s memoir and Netflix docuseries, the couple is expected to receive an invitation to the celebrations.

Bower expressed apprehension that their attendance might detract attention from Charles, who is set to be crowned at the age of 74.

Since their marriage in 2018, Harry and Meghan have welcomed two children, , aged 3, and Libbett, just 4 months old.

The disclosure of Meghan’s disappointment with Harry’s financial situation highlights the ongoing challenges the couple has faced post their royal departure.

Despite financial setbacks, they have successfully ventured into the entertainment industry, securing lucrative deals with major production companies.

As Harry’s memoir garners significant anticipation in 2022, their potential presence at King Charles III’s coronation remains a contentious topic.

Speculation arises among royal commentators, suggesting that their attendance could be perceived as an intentional effort to overshadow Charles, who has long awaited his ascension to the throne.

The couple’s journey post-royalty continues to captivate public interest, as they navigate the complexities of fame, finances, and their evolving roles in the global spotlight.
