Princess Kate’s Shopping Mishap: A Royal Family Outing Gone Awry

As the summer vacation draws to a close, Princess Kate found herself in a rather sticky situation while shopping for school essentials with her children, Prince George and .

The trio was spotted on a mission to pick out new outfits and footwear ahead of the upcoming school year, but the outing didn’t go quite as planned.

With only a few days left of their summer break, George, Charlotte, and their younger brother, , were enjoying their time off following a family trip to Balmoral.

The royal siblings are set to return to Lambourg School next week, where they’ve been enrolled since their family relocated to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor last year.

In the past, Princess Kate has been seen shopping for her kids’ school attire, but one particular trip stands out for all the wrong reasons.

Back in 2018, she took George and Charlotte to the London department store Peter Jones for some shoe shopping.

It was there that a small oversight turned into a memorable moment.

According to sources, Kate forgot to pack socks for her children, which became a bit of a problem when it came time to try on shoes.

Still clad in their summer sandals, George and Charlotte couldn’t exactly slip into new footwear without some proper socks.

In a pinch, Kate had to ask the store for a pair to borrow so her kids could properly fit the shoes.

Before settling into Lambourg, George and Charlotte attended Thomas’s School in Battersea, while little Louis was at Wilcox Nursery School in South Kensington.

Lambourg, now their home school, caters to students aged 3 to 13 and boasts impressive facilities.

The school features its own orchard, woodlands, a swimming pool, a golf course, and even a cricket ground.

However, the clock is ticking for George, who will soon transition to secondary school.

Last year, he was busy preparing for exams, which kept Kate from joining at the Earthshot Prize event in Singapore.

This prestigious event coincided with George’s preliminary entry tests for Eton College, a notable private institution.

Eton, where Prince William himself studied, is known for its rigorous academic standards and hefty tuition fees, reaching up to £46,000 annually.

Last summer, George was spotted visiting the campus, and Kate was later seen chatting with two staff members there, dressed elegantly in an aquamarine dress and ballet shoes.

Interestingly, also attended Eton, making him the second senior royal to do so after his brother.

The royal family’s connection to the school adds another layer of history and tradition to their educational journey.
