Royal Parenting: Princess Kate Praises Edward and Sophie’s Grounded Approach

In a recent revelation, Princess Kate has openly expressed her admiration for the parenting choices made by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Sophie.

This insight comes from a royal biographer who notes that even the late would have appreciated their significant decision regarding their children.

The Wessexes have opted to raise their kids without royal titles, which has caught the attention of many, including Kate.

Prince Edward and Sophie have chosen not to bestow royal titles upon their children, James, the Earl of Wessex, and Lady Louise Windsor.

This decision is rooted in their desire to provide a more ordinary upbringing for their kids.

They believe that allowing them to grow up without the pressures associated with royal titles will enable them to make independent choices when they are older.

Sophie shared her thoughts on this matter back in 2020, explaining, “We try to bring children up with the awareness they are very likely to have to work for a living.” This philosophy reflects their commitment to grounding their children in reality, rather than letting royal status dictate their lives.

The couple believes that their children should have the freedom to choose their paths when they reach adulthood.

Lady Louise Windsor, who turned 18 in November 2021, has already made her choice clear by declining to use the title of princess.

Instead, she is focusing on her studies at the University of St Andrews, where she is pursuing a degree in English literature.

This decision highlights the Wessexes’ intention to cultivate independence and self-sufficiency in their children.

According to a source close to the royal family, Princess Kate greatly respects how the Wessexes juggle their royal duties while raising their children.

In her book, “The New Royals: ‘s Legacy and the Future of the Crown,” author Katie Nicholl emphasizes that Kate admires the balance Prince Edward and Sophie strike in preparing their children for life within the royal family while also equipping them for the realities of the outside world.

Nicholl further elaborates on the upbringing of and , the younger siblings of Prince George.

She suggests that while George, as second in line to the throne, may face more limitations in his choices, his parents are still instilling a strong sense of duty and responsibility in all three children.

They are being raised with an understanding of their roles in supporting the monarchy in the future.
